• Prepare Your Documents:
  • Use our detailed checklist to gather all required documents.
• Attend Your Appointment:
  • Present yourself in person for identification, biometric data capture, and document verification.
• Processing & Delivery:
  • Your application is processed by the relevant authorities. Once approved, your new passport or ID card is sent to you by courier.
• Ongoing Support:
  • We provide continuous support and updates throughout the process.

Documents Required

For Adults (18 years and older):

• Existing Swiss passport and/or ID card
• If documents are lost or stolen: police report and alternative form of ID
• Completed online application
• UK proof of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, council tax)

For Minors (under 18):

• Current Swiss passport or birth certificate
• Swiss parent’s ID
• Signed parental authorisation
• Proof of custody arrangement, if applicable
• Completed online application

Important Information

• All biometric data must be captured in person. No remote processing is available for first-time applicants or renewals.
• Processing times can be extended due to high demand at the Swiss consulate. Apply early to avoid delays.
• Swiss travel documents are valid from the date of issue. Plan your trips accordingly.
• Do not book international travel if you do not have a valid Swiss passport or ID card. The risk of delay lies with the applicant.
